HURRAY IJESA NORTH EAST DIOCESE IS BORN

An Anglican cleric has called on leaders in all his ramifications to stop drifting and be focused. The Rt Rev Isaac Nwaobia Bishop of Isiala Ngwa South missionary Diocese gave this caution  at the inauguration of Ijesa north east Anglican diocese and enthronement service of the Rt Rev Joseph Olusola as his pioneer Bishop at the St Pauls cathedral Ipetu ijesa. Bishop Nwaobia who took his text from Hebrews 2 vs. 1-4 reminded the new diocese of new opportunities and privileges attached which according to him did not come easy. He said because of the value attached to the new diocese they should not lose focus for according to him there are a lot to be done and many new things to be tasted.

The preacher who quoted copiously from the scriptures talked of dangers inherent in drifting. He said the after math of drifting is abandonment by God. He reminded them of the gargantuan task ahead especially in pragmatic evangelism and church planting. He reminded them of the need to put their resources together to help their vibrant bishop support mission and evangelism to teach and reach the unreached. Bishop Nwaobia laid emphasis on sincerity on purpose adding that cursed is he who does the work of God deceitfully.

A preacher who went down memory lane trace the history of Christianity in ijesa land and gave Kudos to the founding fathers. He particularly singled out for honour the head of the Anglican Church peter Akinola late bishop Falope Rtd bishop Olajide arch bishop Adebola Ademowo and the incumbent bishop the Rt Rev Dr Olubayo Sowale for their relentless effort in the spreading of gospel which to the inauguration of the ijesa northeast Anglican diocese in his post enthronement speech the pioneer bishop of the new diocese the Rt Rev Joseph Olusola said the diocese in line with the Anglican communion shall be bible based dishing out the undiluted word of God with serious teaching to the nooks and crannies of the new diocese. He opined that faithful is the Lord who has sent him he will do it. He asked for the cooperation of all and sundry to take the diocese to an enviable height.

People from all walks of life trooped into the cathedral church of St Paul with array of bishops and priests singing and dancing rejoicing at another attempt of depopulating hell and populating heaven.
