THE MANIFESTO OF BAR. NATHANIEL AGUNBIADE, CONTESTING ON THE PLATFORM OF ACTION CONGRESS OF NIGERIA (ACN), FOR MEMBER FEDERAL HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, IJESA NORTH FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY, OBOKUN/ORIADE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS.
PREAMBLE
The presentation at hand exhibits the dream of one man with grass-root mindset and integrity, Bar. Nathaniel Agunbiade, whose intention to contest membership of the Federal House Of Representatives representing Ijesa North Federal Constituency comprising of Obokun/Oriade LG councils of Osun State, is poised at bringing about unprecedented impacts and federal presence to the vastly agrarian and pastoral community, as a result of his commitment to service to humanity and borne out of love and training he had acquired over time. He has offered himself to serve this community of people who are not only cosmopolitan but vastly learned .Together, we will faction out our common destiny.
I, Bar Nathaniel Agunbiade, have had it better! I have seen both sides of life! I have been friend to opulence and penury alike. I know what it means to be poor. I understand the language of poverty even while growing up. By dint of hard work and sheer Providence, I have been able to scale the hurdle. I remember the good legacy, Late Pa .Awolowo gave to us while growing up in terms of free education and so many readily succor to our concerns those days .Just because one’s parents are poor does not mean their children could be nonentity! Every living soul should be given an ounce of hope to live and wings to fly!
That is why I deem it fit, to offer myself selflessly to represent my people at the Lower House of the Parliament. With my humble beginning, living among my people, sharing in their hopes, aspiration, fear and concerns ,as a grass-root person I have seen their needs and no one will help us solve our common plights but us! By training, I have been taught to always be on the side of the defenseless. As a proud father, I will not endanger the lives of young ones who are future of our Constituency to youthful exuberance. Born to a family where; truth, integrity and fear of God are considered the best virtues. I am no saint, I am confident I cannot renege on my promises, with God on our sides! This is my bond and the contract I sign with my great people of Ijesa North Federal Constituency
I know with your votes now, mandate after election, and supports often, we will redeem the glory of our common land. Where our youth; will take their rightful places, in federal parastatals without prejudice. Where an average youth will shun criminality which was alien to our Constituency and value so much his future. Our genus will no longer stay out of school because someone cannot foot their bills. If they are helped out of their plights today, tomorrow they will also give back to the society that bails their days of darkness! This is the kind of Society that will intend to rekindle! This is the vision that will hope to give birth to!
Our parents will smile always! How and why? Their fears will be allayed at sending their children to schools, having hope, knowing fully well, that at the end they would be gainfully employed. They will also be supported from our common proceeds during their schooling--Constituency Project Allowance.. And they will be happy to sit back someday and eat the food of their labour.
Their health will be a thing of concern for our Representation. It is only someone with long life that reaps the fruits of his labour. We will work hard with local health workers and the finest of our brains home and abroad across the Constituency to chart a new course of modern healthcare for our old and young alike. The Englishmen say, “Health is wealthy” What kills people, is not hunger but scourge of diseases that could be prevented even before it stems. A tuber of yam cannot cure typhoid fever which is not unrelated with lack of portable water. It is more than possible! When there is will of purpose and a listening ear to our common problem .We will advance bills that improve their health lots. These promises can only be secured! If YOU and I take a stand today to massively vote for Bar. Nathaniel Agunbiade. A vote for Agunbiade Is A Vote For Change! A Vote for NAT is A Vote for Future. A vote For Action Congress Of Nigeria (ACN) Is A Vote For Vast Fulfillment.
With my association with so many international organisations across the globe, we may not have to spend to bring our plights to the attention of so many organisations that are readily saddled with the roles of empowering the youths, training them to be entrepreneurial and not just job-seekers but great employers of labour, thereby helping at solving our common bane of unemployment. We will also tap every resource within our reach, collaborating with state apparatus to secure a befitting common future for our Constituency.
Our Representation will not be “business as usual”, it is going to be all-inclusive as I am not an island of knowledge, and we will allow our people to have say in how they are to be represented. This, I will do, if elected by opening an office in all the 22 wards of the Constituency, thereby brings governance to the doorstep of our people, such that, whoever has a suggestion as well as criticism will lodge it there without intimidation or fear .
The crisis caused by corruption has severed the bond of trust that supposedly exists between people and the politicians that are elected to serve them... In our Representation, we shall account periodically for our stewardship. We will call Congresses to review our activities if elected. I set out our plans to address issues that bother on our Constituency.
We will redefine Representation, to secure the trust of people and invest in future growth. We will restore trust in Politics with greater transparency and accountability, exhibiting the virtues of good governance to our people that have not had it good in a system that is clouded with corruption, political sycophancy, self-aggrandizement and proprietary scandal.

A New Dawn
New dawn indeed! We have got to change our business as usual orientation. My manifesto is ambitious but achievable, short but all-inclusive. This is a moment of truth and good judgment where serious purpose marries challenges ahead. Our Vision is that of modern Ijesa North based on fairness, mutual respect, transparency and openness .This manifesto is about greater progressive change we need because of this tough times we find ourselves now. There will be no spending on white elephant projects.
We do not believe in plaques or marbles on the walls of structures that will not change the socio-economic status of our people. We will strive to imprint our name in the heart of people that once lived a REP! Human capital development will replace proverbial giving of fishes!
1. To strive to assist at least 50 YOUTHS annually to be gainfully employed.
This is an average of 2 persons per ward in a year. The cumulative effect of this is about 8 persons in four years in federal Civil services. This is what we tagged budding period, these people in 4 years time will not remain in a spot! They will be our ears in their respective parastals ,telling us when there are openings that could be applied for by our people .If one Daniel lives in Kaduna,by virtue of his job placement, there is an ample truth that his kins will come to stay by him for some time, this might be another opportunity for those ones to meet their luck of good jobs there as well.. The harvest will become increasing over years when we are even no more in power .These youths of today will become our great hope of tomorrow .Without recourse to external help, these crops of people will give back to their respective communities. Buying of cars for our Royal Fathers will become a thing of competition in their mists. Celebration of Annual Day which is peculiar to our Constituency, an indication of our social awareness, will become a festival that strengthens our bond in due course. In addition to these, at least 2 persons shall be employed at each ward to attend people. These shall be recruited immediately after inauguration, if I am voted in.
2. To embark on good constituency project for the Benefit of All:
Constituency projects will not based on the fact that we want our name on marbles. We will identify each ward’s need. Their project shall be based on what they really need. From Owena to Ijebu-jesa and Ilare to Ibokun, we know our needs. We will not misplace priority. Of what use is a single car worth of #7,000,000 in the hand of single fellow with one vote when the whole town cannot access portable water that #5,000,000 could put in place?

We cannot do this alone! We will strive to secure listening ears of both State and Federal Governments. We will make our prayers that this water scheme is made to serve if not all, at least Obokun LGA.

Erin-Ijesa Waterfalls.
The Falls at Erin-Ijesa, is another readily available source of water for Oriade Local Government as well. This falls has never dried once in history. As it currently serves the 2 communities of Erin-Ijesa and Erin-Oke,it could be dammed and made to serve more neighbouring communities. All we need do is to put in place modern technology that is capable of pumping the water, with a treatment plant!
In doing all these, our people will have at their communities, potable water that is healthy enough to wade off water borne diseases.

These funds are parts of the Funds that are readily made available by the Federal Government, that our people are not aware of, or denied of its existence.
Our youths who are all over the country with no jobs and training at hands will be encouraged to come back home for training in one vocation or the other. To assure the graduands of our vocation, they shall be made to handle our projects thereby raising their hope and aspiration.

We will set up farm settlements with helps of our Royal Fathers in various parts of the Constituency to train our farmers and would-be ones, in modern farming techniques. Fertilizers and other farming chemicals shall be given to our farmers at discounted price! With these, every one of them will not only provide for his household, they will also make food surplus in our region.
In doing all these, our people will have at their communities, potable water that is healthy enough to wade off water borne diseases.

(C)REFUNDABLE LOANS
We shall support Associations, societies and Co-operatives with business interests with micro credit facilities.
Our traders: women and men alike shall be availed with soft loans to assist their trading. We will encourage them by making it interest-free. We will also ensure they pay back in due time to enable us service other people we might not attend to at once and for them to take their business serious.
(D)SCHOLARSHIP
Our finest of youths shall be given scholarship to study home and abroad. We will partner with foreign instutions that give tuition scholarships to make this a reality. The scholarship shall be open and competitive! We will revive the reading culture of our people by doing this as more youths will want to be beneficiaries of this lofty project.
4. Qualitative and Quantitative Representation.
Our Representation in the House will be coloration of our needs and aspirations. We sponsor bills that will be collectively discussed at our periodic congresses. Our Constituency is blessed with great thinkers and finest people in all walks of life. We shall welcome their bills. We shall do all possible lobby at the floor of the house with good rapports with our colleagues, if elected to see that, these bills see the lights of the day!
Quarterly meetings with all Royal Fathers in the 2 LGAs to discuss issues that bother on their domains, charting courses that endear their kingdom and work with them to achieve mutual understanding across the Constituency.
We will put in a new face of Youth Conference in the Constituency, wherein, youths shall exchange information and cross-fertilize ideas towards self development and leadership roles. This will be an annual thing! I am sure, we will all be glad we did! Vote for Agunbiade! Vote for ACN
